It’s not just a show, it’s an experience

While enjoying what South African nature has to offer, pit stop at the watering hole while the kids are at the seedling park and mom is at a floral workshop.

The Seedling Park pulls the kids away from their iPads and TVs and lets them experience something new.

The Johannesburg International Flower Show has something for everyone. The Seedling Park offers a day out filled with fun and knowledge for the kids. This gives them the opportunity do to something they may not have done before. A fully trained team will manage the children’s area from 10am – 5pm each day of The Johannesburg International Flower Show. Youngsters will be able to do:

  1. Flower arranging,
  2. Pot planting
  3. Making your own compost
  4. Garden art

The leaves are fine with oval, hairy points. White or mauve flowers are borne in terminal clusters, with bracteoles on the flower stalk. Each flower possesses 5 petals, sepals, stamens and staminodes. The flowering period is in winter and spring, from May to December. Oil glands present in the leaves, as well as the fruits, release an aromatic, aniseed-like fragrance when crushed.

Located alongside the Grand Pavilion of Flowers, enjoy the rhythms of Africa while delighting your taste buds with gourmet food and drinks at the entertainment area Entertainment will also be hosted all throughout and around the show.

The schedule will be announced prior to the 2019 show

Many Echeveria species are popular as ornamental garden plants. They are drought-resistant, although they do better with regular deep watering and fertilizing. Most will tolerate shade and some frost. These plants typically lose their lower leaves in winter; as a result, after a few years, the plants lose their compact appearance and need to be re-rooted or propagated.

Flower and Garden Market

Visitors can stroll around the market and feed their aspirations and desire to create their own beautiful living spaces. The market features some of the most vibrant, fun and sort after flowers and plants. Visitors will be able to secure their items of choice and collect them on your way home in our unique “pick up as you go” system

Amongst the delight of gardens and flowers, there will be vendors and trade stalls set up where visitors can browse and purchase everything all your gardening accessories from garden tools to gloves and hats and even water features and beautiful sculptures.
